Prepare for the chilly weather & keep your equipment safe!
Hot Tub & Swim Spa Owners: Your hot tub & swim spa is designed for year-round use in all climates. Ensure maximum energy efficiency in your spa or swim spa any time of the year with these steps:

Time Clock System:
•Run your pumps 24/7 during this freeze period to continuously circulate the water.
•If you have waterfalls and water features, make sure you turn on your waterfall pumps as well as your booster pump.

•Ensure your "Freeze Protection" function is on for both your pool and spa on your control. By default, it is ON.
•If you have waterfalls, make sure you turn on your waterfall pumps as well as your booster pump.
*"Freeze protection" mode switches on a circuit if the outdoor air temperature sensor detects the temperature is getting close to freezing (below 36° F). The system cycles through all circuits that have been assigned freeze protection and run the circuits for 15 minutes to stop the pipes from freezing. This is especially important if there is a pool and spa combination. If freeze protection is set to both the spa and pool circuits, the filter pump switches on and the pool and spa valves alternate every 15 minutes to keep the water moving in both the pool and spa. This process continues until the freeze condition is over. -Pentair owner's manaul.
